Natural approaches that may help male children with undescended testicles

Undescended testicles in male children is a disease called Cryptorchidism. According to ‘My Virtual Medical Centre,’ it affects one in twenty term males, and one in three pre-term males. The procedure undertaken to treat this condition, if it has not resolved by 6 months, is to administer the patient with hormones or perform a surgical repair. But, there are certain natural approaches that may help male children with undescended testicles. These include using foods and other natural remedies that will help regulate hormones.

Scientists have researched and tested hormonal therapy to help male children with undescended testicles with relative success. The first hormone used is called gonadotropic hormone, which found in the urine during pregnancy, also known as A.P.L. The way that it works is that it stimulated testosterone production through the hypothalamus, which releases a substance to the pituitary gland called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). This hormone, in turn, causes the gland to produce two other hormones, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), collectively known as gonadotropins.

There are 2 natural approaches that may help male children with undescended testicles, and they include using foods and other natural remedies to: 1) stimulate the hypothalamus, and 2) stimulate the pituitary gland

1) stimulate the hypothalamus

The hypothalamus is the link between the endocrine and nervous systems and it is responsible for maintaining your body’s internal balance. One of the many hormones secreted by the hypothalamus include the Gonadotropin-releasing hormone, which is used by doctors in the hopes that this will stimulate the undescended testicles to descend into the scrotum. Bellow is how the hypothalamus can be stimulated:

Essential oils

Essential oils, which have been reported to boost immunity, also affect the functions of the hypothalamus is by altering the brain chemistry through their fragrances. Some of the essential oils most commonly known to have such effects are: frankincense oil, sandallwoord, clove, lemon grass, myrrh and others.

2) stimulate the pituitary gland

The pituitary gland controls functions such as: thyroid activity, growth, urine production and the function of other organs in the body. Bellow is how to stimulate the pituitary gland:

Consume high protein foods

Some of the foods that promote human growth hormone are high protein foods, because they cause the pituitary gland to release more of the numerous hormones it secretes, which will help boost testosterone levels.

Consume foods rich in Manganese and vitamins E and vitamins D

Manganese is a mineral that is necessary for proper brain function, and helps regulate pituitary gland. Leafy greens, nuts, legumes and whole grains are the best sources of manganese.

Vitamin E has a role in hormone production and aids in protecting the pituitary from damaging free radicals that can decrease the pituitary’s ability to function. Vitamin D plays a role in the pituitary gene expression, cellular growth and the ability to secrete hormones.

These natural approaches that may help male children with undescended testicles are just a guide as to what mechanisms need to be stimulated in order for this issue to be resolved. So, if you suspect your child’s testis have not descended, it is important for your child to be assessed by a doctor, in order for the child to receive the appropriate treatment.
