Mercury Toxicity: Sources Now Range From HFCS to CFLs to MAFs

An article was posted at Natural Society on Dec. 17, 2011 which ought to have put everyone on notice about the true state of the food supply. The expose indicated that mercury is showing up in much higher amounts than previously reported. Test results on junk food are especially alarming regarding the concentrations of mercury being found.

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is among those ingredients that has demonstrated an unusually high correlation with mercury toxicity. One research study indicated that “half of tested samples of high-fructose corn syrup contained mercury”. The same article went on to report that “Mercury was also found in nearly a third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products which listed high-fructose corn syrup as the first-or-second-highest labeled ingredient.”

Highly Toxic Mercury Present in Processed Foods, Yet FDA Does Nothing

The Health Coach was alerted to a very simple Self Eval many years ago after it was determined that mercury poisoning was at the root of various chronic ailments present since childhood. The test involves a scanning of the skin coloration, particularly on the areas of the body with thin skin. After carefully conducting this test several times, it became clear that mercury was shunted to many of these locations to include the eyelids, underarms, genitals, anal area and inner thighs.

Mercury Poisoning and/or Toxicity: Do you have it?

The question which has emerged over and over is “How did all this mercury get into the body?” Bear in mind that the very same thin-skinned areas had been the site of various intractable skin conditions. Each one of these chronic skin ailments were the result of the skin being overly sensitized by the mercury present. Mercury sensitizes the skin and any other tissue or organ it permeates.

The Health Coach is a “health coach” primarily because of the inordinate amount of junk food eaten throughout childhood. If it was sweet, and within reach, it was eaten. The Health Coach had a fix on every vending machine within 10 miles of his childhood home. That’s right, he had a 10 speed bicycle at a very young age and nothing could keep him from using his paperboy income to satisfy his sweet tooth.

Moral of the story: The over-consumption of junk food saturated with mercury was the primary way that so much mercury gained entry into this body. If this is so, then every junk food eater is susceptible to illness related to mercury toxicity and/or poisoning.

The good news is that the human body will always shunt the mercury as far away from the vital organs as possible to protect them from the most poisonous heavy metal on the planet. Concentrating the mercury in the upper epithelial layers of the skin does just that. However, intractable skin conditions are the end result, the treatment of which is very difficult to administer and almost always performed with mixed results.

Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs)

Be aware that there are many other vectors of dissemination of mercury throughout modern society. Fluorescent bulbs (particularly CFLs) are just one way that mercury vapors are being released in the ambient living and office environments.

When mercury shows up in the form of highly toxic vapors it is particularly difficult to remedy. Mercury vapors easily pass through the blood brain barrier around the olfactory nerve as they travel up through the nose. Here, there are only 4 layers of cells, whereas a true blood brain barrier has six layers of cells. Therefore, we can probably point to the proliferation of fluorescent bulbs (especially CFLs) throughout offices and homes as a major source of bodily contamination.

Another Study Finds Mercury in Fluorescent Bulbs a Health Risk

Conclusion:
For those who have any of the alphabet soup diseases of the 21st century, or suffer from a multi-infection syndrome, mercury is often a primary co-factor. For example, MS patients virtually always show the presence of mercury and candida albicans overgrowth in the gut.
The environment in which we live ought to be carefully evaluated for every source of mercury in its vapor, liquid and solid forms. Therefore, mercury amalgam fillings should be properly removed post haste. Tuna fish should be removed from the diet, and CFLs removed from both home and office.
These are just a few steps which everyone ought to take, if they are to minimize their exposure to this dangerous heavy metal. Mercury has become so ubiquitous that the only way to address this ongoing environmental and health crisis is to identify it and remove whenever possible. That is because there are many other vectors of dissemination over which you will have no control.

We strongly suggest that everyone eradicate mercury wherever possible so that the total body burden of toxicities is kept to a minimum. Given some of the more fatal interactions and destructive synergies which can occur in vivo, this becomes ever so important for those who suffer from the many challenging New Millennium Maladies.

Time to put the odds in your favor, isn’t it?!

May you enjoy great health,

Highest Recommendation:
Properly and safely remove all mercury amalgam fillings yesterday!
There are specific protocols designed for the proper removal of these fillings, which are of critical importance, if you are to avoid major unwanted exposure.
