It’s discutient properties make it an excellent treatment for growths, tumors, swellings and cysts. Moreover, coupled with heat and pressure to form a hot oil pack, castor oil  can be used to considerably reduce your ganglion cyst and get rid of it in a matter of days.

What you need

  • Medium-sized flannel cloth (where to get it)
  • 1 tbsp (or more) of castor oil (where to get it)
  • 4 drops lemongrass oil
  • 3 drops cypress oil
  • 3 drops frankincense oil
  • Small pan & heat source

  1. Gently warm the castor oil in a small pan over low heat until it’s warm to the touch. Do not heat it to smoking point.
  2. Once warm, pour it on a flannel cloth or small cotton cloth carefully until saturated and tie the cloth securely over the ganglion cyst.
  3. Wrap a cling film over the cloth to prevent oil spills and stains. Leave it on overnight.

3. Massage Cream

One popular remedy using essential oils for ganglion cysts is quite a shocker. Bang it hard with a hard cover book to make the cyst rupture so the fluid can drain out, eliminating the lump. However, this remedy is painful plus doesn’t guarantee that the cyst won’t come back so use this massage cream instead to gently but firmly try to push down the ganglion cyst. The pressure plus healing benefits of the essential oils will make for a more effective and painless way of flattening out the cyst.

What you need

  1. In a heatproof bowl, put in the shea butter and coconut oil. Now balance the bowl over a pot of ¼ cup water. Make sure the water doesn’t touch the bowl. The bowl-over-pot setup is your double boiler system for gently melting the shea and coconut oils without destroying their nutrients.
  2. Now heat the pot with the bowl on top on the stove top over a low flame so that the steam from the boiling water gently melts down the two ingredients to liquid form.
  3. Once melted, immediately off the flame and let the ingredients cool off in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  4. When the time is up, get it out (it will be partially solidified which is what we want) and add the essential oils.
  5. Next, beat the ingredients together with a hand mixer or use an electric stand mixer to achieve a fluffy cream consistency.
  6. Transfer to a clean container. Finally, deeply but gently massage the ganglion cyst using a dollop of the cream at least twice a day.
